Romania Fund Raiser

Last night the youth department gave their testimonies from the mission trip to Charleston, SC. All testimonies were moving. I reported that we spent the week looking at priorities, and how certain priorities need to change. I asked the youth department to look at where they spend most of their time as a test of where their most important priorities. How much time do they devote to doing God's work and studying his word. I wounder where is it that their minds drifts to when we are standing in line at the bank or sitting in line at a drive through?
Do we think of the Cross and those who are perishing without hope or do we think about what we want to do on vacation next year? In order for lives to be changed there must be obedience to the gospel. In order for there to be obedience to the gospel there must be changed hearts. The only way that there can be changed hearts is to be "doers of the word" as James 1:22 calls us to be. When we place God's will at the top of our priorities we will see changed lives around us. We will see our needs and wants go by the way side, and we will see Glory brought to God!
The youth department of FSBC has had the ROMA people placed on their hearts. I see us going on to spread the gospel to the ROMA people in Romania. The youth alone had raised $22.22 on their own without any help from the church until last night. The Church brought in a little over $69 in change. They were challenged with 3 pennies, that is all we started with for Romania. Three pennies that I found on the floor in Charleston, SC. Every penny we collect makes Romania on more penny closer to the goal. We currently have $91.93. Someone asked me last night to give a rough estimate as to how much we will need: I said I don't know for use but I think about $18,000. I believe that the Lord will provide our need!

Charleston

PRAISE GOD! We had a great week in Charleston, SC. Everyone got to pick where they wanted to work. Don't miss their testimonies this Sunday night, July 15 @ 6:00 PM. You will have a chance to hear from everyone in the above photo. I would like to thank everyone who made this week possible through financial giving and prayer. I know that there were several hearts that were changed this past week. Our group was challenged on keeping the mission working going at home, and I believe that we will. We look forward to next years trip to Philadelphia, PA.
